Mentoring is the act of using experience to help someone achieve a goal or overcome difficulties, it involves active listening and helping mentees understand the possible ways forward.
It is different from coaching, which is based on the principle of asking questions to help an individual solve their own problem, or teaching, which is based on a principle of telling or instruction. Mentoring cannot be replaced by AI as it relies on the experience and the interpersonal connection.
