Accredited Training for School Staff
This live online mentor training course combines the content of the National Children’s Mentor and National Young Person’s Mentor Qualifications. Units cover developing best practice skills on overcoming barriers, adapting learning approaches, and effective tools for interventions.
This includes practical methods of how to assess, plan and deliver interventions for social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Staff are enabled to understand the root causes of the behavioural challenges presented by their students, as well as adaptive methods for addressing them.

Who is this mentoring qualification for?

This course is specifically designed for professionals in primary, secondary, and alternative provision (AP) settings. It is ideal for teachers, teaching assistants, learning mentors, and pastoral staff who require a formal qualification to support students with complex social and emotional needs.
How does this training help with EHC plans and student behaviour?
With EHC plans on the rise in the UK, our training provides staff with evidence-based tools to understand the root causes of behavioural challenges. Participants learn to assess, plan, and deliver tailored interventions that directly support the requirements of Education, Health and Care plans.
What is the format of the live online mentor training?
The course is delivered live via online sessions, combining theoretical content with interactive group discussions. This format allows education professionals from across the UK to share case studies and best practices, ensuring the learning is applied to real-world school environments.
Are there flexible payment options for the course?
Yes. To support school budgets and individual learners, we offer a 6-month payment plan at £238 per month. We also provide bespoke group discounts for schools or trusts enrolling 10 or more staff members.
