The growing popularity of youth mentoring programmes means that relevant mentor training is more important than ever.
This Youth Mentor training course is designed for those who actively support and engage the young people they are working with, including those facing complex challenges, as part of professional or volunteer youth services. It is especially popular with those who are looking to expand range of specialised certifications with a program which addresses and reflects the finer details of their youth work.
Course Overview
Covering work with individuals and groups, the specialist youth mentor program develops skills on how to acknowledge and address challenges faced by young people through a mental health led framework. You will develop your practical skills in managing safe, boundaried mentoring conversations with young people in the community. Modules include overcoming barriers, mental health, and preparation for the future, with a focus on enabling the mentees to achieve their goals.

Learn at your own pace
This course takes an average of 30-50 hours to complete (including final portfolio assignment), which can be spread out over a few months or condensed and accelerated depending on the learner.
We understand that your schedule can be hectic. That’s why our training is designed to be flexible and available on-demand. The course is delivered virtually in 15-minute pre-recorded units with associated activities and a final portfolio. You can access the course materials anytime, anywhere, allowing you to fit your learning around your commitments. You will also be fully supported every step of the way by our dedicated team who are on hand to help with any questions or challenges.
Cost
£950 + VAT per learner (£1,140 total), however this can be broken down into payment plans of £190 per month for 6 months. There are also group discounts available for 10 or more learners (which we calculate when we have a firm grasp of numbers).
