Who is this course for?
The Office for National Statistics reported that 1 in 18 preschool children experienced difficulties with their mental health, with this increasing to 1 in 10 by primary school. As such, being able to provide effective intervention and support as early as possible is more important than ever.
The Preschool Mentor Qualification was designed for teachers, practitioners, childminders, creche workers, room leaders, playworkers, managers and support staff in early years settings. It is especially popular with those who are looking to expand range of specialised certifications with a program which addresses and reflects the finer details of their work.
Course Overview
Designed from a mental health led framework, the Preschool Mentor course covers skills on overcoming barriers, adapting learning approaches, and effective tools for interventions along with wider group involvement. It includes practical methods of how to assess, plan and deliver interventions for social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Preschool Mentors are enabled to understand the root causes challenges, and best practice for addressing them.

Learn at your own pace
This course takes an average of 30-50 hours to complete (including final portfolio assignment), which can be spread out over a few months or condensed and accelerated depending on the learner.
We understand that your schedule can be hectic. That’s why our training is designed to be flexible and available on-demand. The course is delivered virtually in 15-minute pre-recorded units with associated activities and a final portfolio. You can access the course materials anytime, anywhere, allowing you to fit your learning around your commitments. You will also be fully supported every step of the way by our dedicated team who are on hand to help with any questions or challenges.
Cost
£950 + VAT per learner (£1,140 total), however this can be broken down into payment plans of £190 per month for 6 months. There are also group discounts available for 10 or more learners (which we calculate when we have a firm grasp of numbers).
