Why does accreditation matter?
With 84% of U.S Fortune 500 companies having a mentor programme, it is clear that more organisations than ever are recognising the benefits of mentoring for long-term growth. As a result, being able to access appropriate, adaptable, training is becoming increasingly advantageous.
External assessment is a key step for any mentoring programme seeking accreditation and can play an important role in ensuring the quality of your system. This analytical process ensures best practice is being followed, with the opportunity to identify potential points which could benefit from further development for long term programme stability.
The Mentoring School provides independent quality assurance for corporate mentoring. We have two main pathways for accreditation of training- one for independently developed mentoring programmes and the other for those interested in using and adapting our courses as an accredited delivery partner.

How does it work?
Accreditation vs. Delivery Partnership
| Feature | External Accreditation | Course Delivery Partnership |
| Who it’s for | Organisations with existing training | Organisations wanting to use our courses |
| Content Source | Your own independently developed material | The Mentoring School’s accredited resources |
| Key Benefit | External validation & quality mark | Faster rollout & proven curriculum |
| Certification | Recognition of your programme | Regulated learner qualifications |
| Audit Tier | Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum | Fully regulated deliver status |
How can my organisation get an existing mentoring course accredited?
Organisations can submit their independently developed training materials to The Mentoring School for external assessment. Our experts review the content against international standardised criteria, provide an action plan for improvements, and award a quality tier (Bronze to Platinum) upon successful completion.
Process
- Contact us directly to register your interest in exploring accreditation (Call 02381 120010 or email us).
- We arrange a meeting for you with one of our accreditation experts to talk through your existing programme. We will happily work through any questions you may have so that you feel confident in the process.
- You submit your course materials to The Mentoring School.
- Our assessors will thoroughly review your materials and grade them against the standardised criteria. They will provide detailed feedback along with either a recommendation to accredit the training, or an action plan to resolve potential challenge points.
- When identified challenge points have been addressed you can resubmit for a new review.
Guideline Costs
First assessment of your course and materials from £900 + VAT.
If less than 3 improvements are required, your second assessment has no additional charge.
If 3 or more potential improvements are required, each subsequent assessment has a £395 + VAT fee.
Annual accreditation costs from £395 + VAT per year.
What are the benefits of becoming a Mentoring School delivery partner?
Becoming a delivery partner allows you to use our proven, accredited resources rather than starting from scratch. We train your internal leaders to deliver regulated qualifications, providing a foundation that can be adapted to your organisation’s unique culture and specific needs.
Does The Mentoring School provide assessment for our internal learners?
Yes. For course delivery partners, we provide the final assessment of your learners and register their formal qualifications. This ensures that the academic integrity of the qualification is maintained while your team handles the face-to-face delivery.
Process
- Contact us directly to register your interest in becoming a course delivery partner (Call 02381 120010 or email us).
- We arrange a meeting for you with one of our course experts to talk through your desired qualifications and programme formatting. We will happily talk you through any questions you may have so that you feel confident in the process.
- We train your chosen programme leaders on how to deliver course content, including best practice for delivering regulated qualifications and the specific requirements of your programme.
- These now accredited leaders deliver the course training and materials to learners within your organisation.
- We then provide assessment of those learners upon course completion, and register their subsequent qualifications.
- You annually re-register as a course deliver partner.
