FAQs
What is the highest level of mentoring qualification I can achieve?
The Level 4 Advanced Qualification is the highest accreditation we offer. It is designed for experienced practitioners who wish to move into strategic leadership, consultancy, or research roles within the mentoring profession.
What does the Level 4 research project involve?
The research project is a cornerstone of the Advanced course. It allows you to choose a specific area of mentoring—such as Early Years or Apprentice mentoring—and conduct an original study. You will undertake, apply, and analyse the impact of your research, contributing directly to the body of literature that shapes the future of the industry.
How does Level 4 differ from Level 3?
While Level 3 (Practitioner) focuses on high-level competency within a sector, Level 4 (Advanced) focuses on mastery and innovation. It moves beyond practice into the critical analysis of the theories and research that underpin mentoring, challenging you to reflect on and influence how mentoring is delivered at a strategic level.
Can I take an Advanced course if I have a qualification from another provider?
We generally require a Level 3 (Practitioner) qualification from The Mentoring School to ensure you are familiar with our core frameworks. However, we are happy to discuss equivalent qualifications on a case-by-case basis. Please Contact Our Team to discuss your eligibility.
