Introducing the Practitioner Mentor for Career and Employability Programme, a certified programme designed for managers, leadership and future leaders.

Are you looking for a new, more meaningful career? Are you looking to develop yourself and attain real job satisfaction? It’s time to invest in yourself and train for a career in mentoring. Help others to uncover skills and knowledge they didn’t know that they had and help your mentees find the careers that they want.

The Practitioner Mentor for Career and Employability Programme will give you the skills to unlock the potential of your mentees, Identify the gaps in their skillset and coach them to realise their own goals, while giving you a recognised level 3 qualification.

The importance of understanding the individuality of your mentee is key to unlocking the tools they require to achieve their goals. The Practitioner Mentor for Career and Employability Programme will show you how to identify and relate to your mentees individual learning style and mindset. Allowing you to pass on your knowledge in a way that will be understood and retained by your mentee.

Using the Practitioner Mentor for Career and Employability Programme to retrain as a mentor will give you the opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives. Helping many others to find their true career path and help them along that path will not only give you the job satisfaction you deserve but also help the community you serve in a long term sustainable way.

Programme delivery

The online course is delivered in 15 minute pre-recorded units with associated activities to help mentors develop the skills and embed the learning. Support is available by phone or email. Learners are also invited to monthly live support calls with tutors to provide support and answer queries.

Also available as:

• 3-day group learning
• 6 x 3-hour group learning sessions
• Fast Track blended learning (eLearning and 1-day group learning)

These are then followed by a portfolio to gain the qualification.

Qualification Assessment

Learners complete a reflective assignment to gain an accredited Level 3 Certificate from Open Awards. This includes a reflection on how they have applied or would apply the skills (if they have not begun mentoring). They also have the option to sign up to the official Register of Mentors as an accredited mentor.
